Dokter Kulit, Rumah Sakit Apollo Spectra, Chennai, Dr Subhashini Mohan, mengatakan mangga mengandung gula yang tinggi dan bila dikonsumsi berlebihan dapat menyebabkan ketidakseimbangan hormon dan peningkatan produksi sebum. Di mana dapat menyumbat pori-pori dan menyebabkan jerawat. Penelitian juga menunjukkan makin banyak konsumsi cokelat, makin banyak masalah jerawat karena kandungan gula yang tinggi dan ketidakseimbangan hormon.<\/p>\n<p>Diet tinggi karbohidrat<\/p>\n<p>Diet tinggi karbohidrat terutama olahan, seperti roti putih, pasta, dan camilan manis, dapat menyebabkan peningkatan kadar gula darah secara cepat dan meningkatkan produksi faktor pertumbuhan seperti insulin dalam tubuh. Itu dapat menyebabkan ketidakseimbangan hormon dan peningkatan produksi sebum yang menyebabkan jerawat.<\/p>\n<p>Makanan rendah serat<\/p>\n<p>Makanan rendah serat seperti camilan olahan dan minuman manis dapat menyebabkan lonjakan kadar gula darah dan mengganggu mikrobioma usus. Ini bisa berkontribusi pada peradangan dan jerawat.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Mohan menyarankan sebagai gantinya dapat memilih makanan berserat tinggi, seperti sayuran berdaun, buah-buahan, polong-polongan, dan kacang-kacangan.
